Join our listserv

We operate a Police and Prisons in the Global South listserv, which subscribers can use to share reflections, information and resources including new research, calls for papers, or funding opportunities.

The listserv is open to academics in any discipline undertaking social science research and teaching on the politics of policing and imprisonment in the Global South, and to practitioners (e.g. activists, human rights defenders) whose activities focus closely on these themes.

To join the listserv, please email Mike or Deniz (contact details below) from your institutional email address and include:

  • a brief description of your status (e.g. PhD student, faculty)
  • your institutional affiliation
  • your research interests (just a single sentence or a few keywords)
  • some evidence – e.g. a link to an online staff profile, or to an article you’ve published

Once you’re subscribed, you can send messages to the listserv by emailing policeandprisonsintheglobalsouth@newcastle.ac.uk. You can also log into the list homepage (here) to change your subscriber options (e.g. choose to receive individual posts or a digest) or to unsubscribe.
